Part of me wants to sue. Anyone ever have a problem like this?

So Cody was walking by the door in our apartment and he tripped over a broken floor outlet on the floor ( that my landlord knows about by the way, and allowed us to move in with, saying she would fix it but hasn't) and a huge burst of fire , light and a big pop noise went off and I see Cody jump mid air! The outlet blew up from under him, that could have landed him in the freakin hospital! Now power is out of our entire house but our kitchen! I'm so freakin pissed. Because when I signed my agreement she also said when we move out that they take 10% of our deposit to get it cleaned by professionals! Which there is holes and dirt all over the house and I emailed her scratches and marks and said thats bs that professionals cleaned it. And now this?! FUCK! What gives?!
