Membrane strip /sweep ? Was it effective for you?

I'm getting mine done tomorrow and would like to know how everyone who's had it done experience was.

Unsuccessful every time I had one with both of my pregnancies.

I had mine around 37 weeks and 3-4 days and I ended up having my son 4-5 days after they swept my membrane.
I also did have a bloody show though the day after the membrane sweep.
I had my son at 38 weeks and 2 days.

I've had 2 that have both failed. I'm now 10 days overdue. Mine were very painful but I've heard most women just find it uncomfortable. I bled a lot afterwards with both and had a lot of cramps and contractions. Unfortunately mine didn't lead anywhere. Good luck with yours though, hopefully yours will be more successful! X
