I was just tested for herpes

Today I went into the gynecologist because I have bumps and she decided to test me for herpes. Then she also told me I have a raging infection inside my vaginal canal :( i have chunky discharge but I just got off my period two days ago. The inside is swollen, red, and it kind of burned when she put the metal thing in... it might be something else aside from an STD but I'm so scared, I just don't know how I will cope. My boyfriend and I broke up for two weeks  about a month ago and I had unprotected sex with a guy I knew 4 times. He slept with 2 girls while we were broken up and claimed he used a condom both times... I just need someone to tell me it's going to be okay! The herpes results won't be in for a couple days.
