Cyst on brain???

Hi mamas,

I was wondering if any of you have had experience with your baby having a cyst on their brain? I just had an ultrasound at 21 weeks and was told that my baby has a cyst on her brain. My OB said not to worry about it because she has seen them before and they dissolve (in all the cases that she has seen) but I have to go get another ultrasound to make sure that it is actually dissolving.

She told me it should be fine, but I'm freaking out! 😭

This happened to my sister in law, and it did dissolve. Everything was ok.

They found them at my son's 20 week us. I freaked out too! But I've talked with so many women and it was ok for all of them. This is one of the few things, if you google you will see it say that it's not too bad. I even asked a dr friend that worked in neonatal for a bit. She said that drs hate telling moms, because it's just an incidental find and really means nothing.

Thank all of you mamas SO much. This has made me feel so much more positive. My OB still wants me to get an ultrasound next week to make sure the cyst is going away like it should, but I feel so much better about it.
