I'm stuck in a lease with my ex for 6 months?

I've decided that I no longer want to be with my boyfriend, so now I'm stuck with him for 6 months in a lease. Has anyone ever been in this situation?

Where I live, if you and your bf go down to the leasing office and both sign a paper removing you from the lease, you could leave. It would just need his signature too. You could try that!

I was in a some what,similar situation. Instead of wanting to break up with my boyfriend at the time, we tried to work things out, but just wasn't happening. So we both were mutual and broke up together. I stayed there with him for about a month,but eventually moved back in with my parents. While I stayed with my parents, my ex stayed at the apartment. We stayed on the lease and I would still pay my half of it. He and I would meet up at the apartment each month to pay the rent,til the lease was done. I only stayed on the lease,to be certain I had a good record for myself for any future apartments or other.
