when can I start shopping for my baby?

I had a hard time ttc after 3 1/2 finally I'm pregnant 1/2 way already I want to start buying baby stuff I'm just so scared I don't knw why I'm just scared 😳 i haven't had a miscarriage at all but it kills me to think it could still happen I'm so paranoid mostly I this is because this past year I was diagnosed with pcos and I have heard of all the risk so maybe that's why I'm so scared at how many weeks did you guys started shopping for baby stuff? My husband found the perfect crib and wants to buy it already I'm kinda scared I don't want to jinx it or anything like that ☹️

I've had 2 previous losses, but started shopping around 13 weeks because of a huge baby sale I came across. I'm now 18w1d, and we have the carseat, stroller, crib, crib mattress, and a bunch of other stuff my sister-in-law gave us, like the swing her son never used, a diaper genie, and lots of little stuff. My in-laws got us the crib and mattress, and we got the carseat I really wanted and the stroller for a great deal. I've also bought a couple of gender neutral onesies. It's personal preference, but I like to plan ahead and be prepared, so I've started. Once we know gender next week, I'll buy even more.

I mc 4x and im on healthy #3 ive never waited the only thing i wait for is money. Im 10 weeks we have nearly everything we need the crib is all thats left after sunday

OMG, I was scared to buy stuff just like you. I always wondered why people start buying stuff so early, most of them even before the gender scan. I was hesitant if I should buy after the baby is born but I changed my mind. As soon as we found out the gender, I couldn't resist any longer. I'm 23 weeks 5 days now and I've already got plenty of things for my baby boy 💙💙💙

Don't be scared! I was EXACTLY like you. PCOS and everything. Enjoy your pregnancy! Once your baby is finally in your arms you'll regret not enjoying this time more!

Anything could happen at any time. I'm 35w2d and still worried something will go wrong but I started buying stuff around 20 weeks. Everyone's just different whenever you're comfortable and ready

Whenever you're ready. There is no right answer. I bought the babies crib at 8 weeks. By 10 weeks we also had the glider and dresser. And then at 20 we bought stuff because we knew the gender then. You're halfway there. It's probably a good time to start getting stuff for the nursery. Then you're not doing all that work at the end of your pregnancy when you really need a nap haha

That fear may never go away. I'm five days before due date and still wary of buying stuff because maybe he'll be stillborn. At some point you gotta prepare though, and trust that this baby will come.

Start whenever you want. I've had losses and with this baby I started buying stuff if I was out and saw something I liked. I've been buying more since I found out the gender
