does having an std in the past effect fertility?

My fiancé didn't know he had  chlamydia before we got together and we didn't find out about it for a long time. I would of had it for 7 months until I went in for an annual physical. I then after all this happened got off depo I had my last shot 8 months ago. I know that is probably why I haven't conceived yet but could it be because of the chlamydia? I had it for a long time and who knows how long he had it for. Just kind of looking for advice.
