Confusion anout testing.

STEPHANIE ☆

So, i elected to do the panorama prenatal screen. Since i had an unexpected 2nd trimester loss last year. According to the paperwork i got, and what the website for the the test said, i could get it after 9 weeks and best between then and 12 weeks. It also said it would be back within 5 to 7 days.

Well my doctors office was told by the representative for the test (the night after my appointment where i got the info) that he says to wait and do the tests at 12 weeks or after for better results. So when i spoke to the nurse the following day (last week) she told me i needed to wait until then. So she set it up for my next appointment on April 19th (13 weeks 2 days).

I called back today and asked if they could have the blood drawn for the test the week before (i would be over 12 weeks by then) so the results would be back by my appointmnet the next week. She said she could and would schedule me for April 12th to get the blood drawn, but then told me that they had been told the results average on coming back between 10 amd 14 days.

I told her that it was ok, all the more reason to get the blood drawn earlier.

I did know that they were going to be meeting with the representative last week for a dinner meeting, to learn more about this test (they never offered something like it before), so i understood where all these things were coming from. Just was stressfull last week with hormones, insurance problems, and the hopes to do this test immediately, but then have to wait.

I am good now, and a lot more at peace with waiting a little bit.
