RELIGION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
So I turned on my tv and this was the topic of discussion. 
I've only done some brief reading so forgive me if I'm a little ignorant on the subject. From what I gathered this is an effort to eradicate islamophobia. Personally I have an issue with it because we're supposed to separate church from state. In the same token, I only ever remember learning about the Christian crusades and Hitler's radical catholic beliefs. Which I find a little biased, I think it's a great opportunity to teach the youth, but if they are gonna do that for one religion they should for all religions to show kids that basically majority of people are striving for a peaceful coexistence regardless of our differences isn't that the end goal?
What are your guys thoughts? Any solutions? Should this continue, and if so shouldn't all religious history be taught?
In addition, a girl was given a failing grade for not participating, which is why I think it should either be stopped or all religions should be included, like a culture/religious celebration week or something
