Moms over stepping their boundaries?

I just had my precious daughter about two weeks ago. My boyfriend and I had an agreement that he would like for me to be a stay home mom just for the first year till I go back to college. My mom has been hounding me that im not doing enough for my daughter if  I'm not going to work. (My boyfriend and I have our own house, he has a decent job for someone who's 23. Our bills are paid, we do just fine) It hurts my feelings that she constantly comes overs and likes to tell me how she went back to work right after she had me. Did house chores, worked, and came home to take care of me. She thinks I'm a lazy mom. How would you feel?

Honestly. This doesn't end. If youre not getting it from one person, youre getting it from another. Stay at home moms are rock stars just like working moms . Do whats right for your family. And tell everyone else to mind their own business.

Just take it with a grain of salt. Tell her that it's great that she went to work right after, but you think that this is better for your family.

Every person has their own opinion about how what a Mom should do. If you are getting by without having to ask for handouts then don't worry about what she thinks. Her situation was just different than yours. Doesn't mean you're lazy. Just tell her to mind her own business and quit talking about it.

If you and your boyfriend both agree and are happy with it then who cares what others think. It works for you two. My boyfriend and I have already agreed, that when we marry and have children, I'll quit my job and stay home with them. There's nothing wrong with it.
