Someone STEPPED ON MY MACBOOK π‘π‘
At school on Tuesday someone came into chapel (I go to a Christian university) late and stumbled down my aisle and stepped on my computer. There was a quick "Oops" and not much time to do anything about it. When I got home I realized my screen is broken. π‘ I'm not sure what to do. I found her profile on Facebook when I asked a friend to help me get in contact with her and he acted like I'm a horrible person to even bring it up to her because "she'll feel terrible, it was an accident". I don't know what to do. I doubt AppleCare would replace a broken screen due to someone stepping on it. And it's so expensive to replace the screen, I might as well get a new computer. I'm trying to avoid having to take $1,000 out of my tuition fund. π©π« All my notes, all my photos and everything are on this computer. I'm halfway through the semester and hopefully about to start a summer internship. I don't know what to do. Can one of you ladies give me some advice? I'm seriously at a loss.

UPDATE*** thank you to the few ladies that tried to be helpful and non-judgemental. Rough things that are out of your control happen to everyone, but rubbing it in someone's face doesn't help.
1) In chapel, there are large stain glass windows on either side and it is most certainly never dark
2) I never set my computer down until chapel had started meaning they stop anyone else from coming in. As to why she somehow managed to get into chapel 10 minutes late, I have no idea.
3) Its hard to put your computer completely under the seat because the seats are on an incline. I had my laptop under the seat and the small portion that slid out was the VERY EDGE she stepped on.
I didn't end up messaging her. I just pulled the money out of my tuition fund.
The amount of ladies going after one another on this app baffles me. You can state your opinion without calling each other names or being rude to each other. π
But thank you to the few that were helpful. Even the ones that had a different opinion as long as you weren't rude about it. I appreciate it.
