Apartment vs house ?

Does anyone prefer apartment living ? Everyone always says oh why do you live in an apartment if you can afford a house but honestly I like the fact I don't have to worry about repairs and the land lord doesn't care if I paint or change something. Sure I don't have much of a yard but I have a park and it's not like I'd let them play outside without supervision anyways. I have a 2 bedroom and I only plan on having one or two kids.and I like knowing someone is other other side of the wall incase something happened.
