If you got pregnant while breastfeeding, did it affect your supply?

I'd like to start TTC in August. My daughter will be 9 months old then. I'd like to breastfeed her for at least a year. 12 months is my goal. I'm just concerned i won't be able to do that if I get pregnant when I hope. I want my kids to be close together in age and I'd like to start trying soon in case it takes a while to conceive my second.

Well I'm pregnant now and my son is still nursing. He is 15 months. My doctor did tell me that once the milk starts to change some kids wean but who knows! If that happens to me,I'll let you know :)

I'm bfing and my daughter is 10.5 mos and I'm 13 weeks. I have noticed some drop, but she is so close to being weaned to kiss morning and night that that may be part of it as well.

For me by 20 weeks I was completely fried up. I got pregnant (not planned) when my daughter was 5 months. I planned on nursing a full year but since my supply completely dried, we were done around 9 months. It broke my heart.  Luckily I had a huge supply of milk frozen so we went a full 10 months on breast milk but ultimately had to switch to formula.   But, I've also heard of a lot of women who can successfully breastfeed all thru pregnancy! I think either way, you would be able to make it a full year :)
