did you make up a song for your little one?
Since my son was 5 weeks old I made up a song that 95 percent of the time puts him to sleep.
It goes..
"Go to sleep

Close your big beautiful eyes
And drift off to dream land
Where's there so much to dream of
When you wake up again
Mommy and daddy will be here
