crib help

Apparently I'm in need of a crib I wanted to get a pack-n-play that has the bassinet attachment but the father says he needs a crib because cribs are soft and good on the back the only thing is. We live in a 34 ft RV there is no room especially if I have to buy a rocker ( because the baby apparently can't have a paci and must be rocked to sleep because that's what he did with his first daughter 30 years ago). I saw some at babies r us but  I think babies r us is to expensive what do you guys recommend something like a mini crib I guess
