am I being too sensitive

So my husband and I have 1 so who is almost 1. We have been talking about baby #2 for a couple of months and last month stopped using condoms and just decided to go with the flow. I REALLY want that second baby, he's more back and forth. He totally talks about the next baby and asks our son " do you want a sister of brother?". We have been pulling out but kinda trying.  So last month I was hoping for a bfp but took tests wo telling him bc I feel a little silly getting so excited. Well first month was negative. Last night it was the last day of my period we made love...about 1 min later we were cuddling and I said "you definitely can cum inside these couple days after my period, i love when you do" and he responds "I'm trying to send you a message". I didn't expect it and I burst into tears. I felt so...yuck...he I was just after making love, telling him I love him and...yeah he's trying to "send a message". Why not just use words OR a condom if you feel like that?! Felt like an ass way to deal with it. Maybe I'm being too sensitive 😞
