post partum hair loss and getting highlights done?

Question

I wanted to touch up my highlights but I'm 10 weeks post partum and losing lots of hair. Any thoughts if getting the highlights can make it worse? I do lose hair when I get highlights done but it's mostly from breakage and not from the roots.. I don't mind the regular breakage.

Also, from what I googled, getting highlights should not be bad for baby (I'm EBF) but if anyone has heard differently please let me know, don't want to harm him hehe

I have 3 boys and EBF with all of them. Dying or highlighting your hair is fine. That being said, it will likely cause hair to fall out at a faster pace. I'm sure I dye my hair postpartum during the hair loss period. I can't go months without. For me, a hair cut helps immensely with both how I feel, and helps to ensure my hair is healthy when so much is falling out. Honestly, call your stylist and talk to her about it
