help for eczema?

My little man has eczema pretty badly. We used baby aveeno and it made him break out in a rash. Other options?

I have a specific type of eczema that affects my hands and feet. The doctors often want to prescribe steroid creams, but they thin the skin and make it more prone to a breakout. The most helpful thing I've done is dilute raw apple cider vinegar (I use Bragg's) with water (1 part vin to 3 or 4 parts water) and either soak my feet or saturate cotton pads and lay it on the areas for 20 min each day or even twice a day. The blisters calm and retreat after several days. If your little is finding that dilution level stings, you can start with a higher ratio of water. Even pouring vinegar into their bath water can help. Good luck... I know it must be hard to watch them suffer 😢

Try aquaphor body wash and eucerin lotion for babies. My pediatrician recommended them bc my son has ezcema. She told me to get rid of all my aveeno products.

My daughter is 5 and has had it since she was a baby.  I like Aquaphor, Cetaphil, anything that's unscented!  And coconut oil is great for afterwards. Also the Aveeno oatmeal bath is great!  For summer time we use unscented all natural sunscreen too!

My son is 10 and we control his eczema best with warm bath or shower daily, Cetaphil cleanser and Cetaphil lotion. During the dry winter months we will use a thicker Cetaphil cream or Eucerine. His feet will peel terribly so we use vaseline for that. During the summer months he lotions his skin before sunscreen (let the lotion set for a few minutes before applying the sunscreen). He reapplies sunscreen as needed but mid day he will apply lotion, let it set and then sunscreen again. Pools and hot tubs can cause breakouts due to all the chemicals so we are careful to be sure he showers and lotions immediately after use. He's had these skin issues since birth and its taken a few tough lessons for us to fully get a grip on it. I hope your little one won't have issues to the same extent as my son.

I know this sounds weird but my nephew had a horrible case of eczema. He would get scabs and sores from them and my brother found neutrogena hand cream norwegian formula and it has cleared his up. When he gets flair ups they just use it and it clears it up.

Aveeno eczema.... after every bath or when ever he gets itchy apply it...doctors said there was really no cure for my daughter, her skin would peel and get so raw and pink, bloody from itching. Got aveeno eczema, and i tell you theres not one sign of a damn dried patch... i showed those doctors wrong... i recommened this till the day i die, lol....
