can I do this?

Hi everyone...I'm wondering if anyone is on here that has had a child a while living with a chronic illness.  I am a transplant recipient as well as having other health issue that leave me exhausted some days.  My husband and I are in the process of adopting an infant.  I've been having panic attacks out of fear that I won't be able to raise a child.  Any suggestions?  Words of wisdom?  Thanks for listening.
