what's a good bassinet/pack n play combo for a 5 month old?

My baby is 5 months today and is 16lbs. He's outgrown his bassinet and I'm searching for a new bassinet/play yard combo that will hold higher than 15lbs. All of the play yards I've looked at, the bassinet part limit is only 15lbs. I would put him in his crib but our pediatrician said chances of SIDS are reduced by 50% when a baby sleeps in the parents bedroom for a year. Any good recommendations?

You could take the bassinet part off the pack and play and he'll be just fine.

I think you're time with those bassinets is over. You can keep him sleeping in the higher level of the pack and play so you don't have to lean so far over. A mini-crib would be comparable space-wise but not have the potential uses of the pack and play.

Most babies past 5 mo don't fit in a bassinet length wise so I think that's why they make them kinda flimsy. I would go for just a reg pack n play. They can still sleep in those. But a crib would be best for every night.
