Have you used a diva cup? (Or any brand)

What are your thoughts? Are they easy to use? I really want to try it but I feel like it looks huge lol do you think they're better than tampons?

WORST THING EVER.

If you have a heavy flow this thing does NOT hold up. I was leaking and spilling andnhaving to change it every hour for the first two days of my period.

Also, it's a silicone cup. Silicone is a highly flexible material, which is why it works for this purpose, but also means that when you pull it out IT WILL SPRING BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM and spray you with a shower of tiny period droplets. Which REALLY sucks when you try to change it at work. Ask me how I know. 🙄🙄🙄

Changing it is nasty. And God help you if you drop the damn thing. I got it out, dumped it, wasn't able to properly rinse it bc I was in a public toilet stall, tried to put it back in and it sprang out of my hands, flew across the stall, bounced off the door and came back to land in my lap, right on the hem of my blouse. The whole stall, myself included, looked as if tiny shark week fireworks had gone off, or like, a leprechaun massacre had just taken place---- tiny drops of blood EVERYWHERE.

I've used the disposables and didn't really care for them. I've heard a lot of really good things about them and have also heard that it takes time to adjust. Only problem is... I don't have time to try to adjust while on my period. I want something to work NOW rather than practicing with a new method.

I use the diva cup and let me say my experience has been nothing like one of the others mentioned. I have an extremely heavy flow (soaking through super plus tampons in 1-2 hours) and I don't have to empty my cup for at least 4 hours on my heavy days. I rarely ever leak, if I do it's because I inserted the cup wrong because I was in a hurry.I've never been splashed with blood droplets when removing my cup. It's actually not messy at all. I get some blood on my fingers but it's not a massacre all over. There is a learning curve and clearly it isn't for all. It works better for me than tampons/pads. There are several different brands of menstrual cups. Some are more firm than others, some have stems to help grab, and some are longer. It's all about finding one that's right for you. Don't let someone else's horror story keep you from trying something that could potentially work wonders for you.

I used the diva cup for a few cycles and loved it, but had a little trouble getting it to open and it would leak a little. I have a couple of friends that love the diva cup and have had no problems with it. Now I use the Lena cup and I love it. No leaks, my periods are shorter, and I can go a 10 hour day at work without having to worry about it. Once it's in you don't feel it at all.

I use mooncup. It is awesome. Never going back to tampons. Does take a few cycles to get used to but do much better
