My bf's Ex!!!

So they guy I am "dating" has an ex who cheated on him with a girl AND a boy! His ex was a member of my volleyball team. Recently I've been asking my bf about how much he trust me and he says not all considering his past situations. We haven't been together that long. I just want to know if I should do more to help him trust me or just "let go and let God"?
