Would You Get Involved?

I have a 17 year old neighbor that gets treated like shit by her mother because she had her at 17 and somehow, it's the daughters fault 🙄 I've had convos with the mom and I know how much she blames her daughter for shit. They have a lot of problems but today, her daughter came to my door in tears and told me that she was moving out. 17 is the legal age to where you can and not be considered a runaway in Missouri. She also told me that she's forced to sleep on the floor of their FLOODED basement (she has a room!) and she is starving her. She has Crohn's Disease and when she goes to the doctor, she has to lie about eating because her mom is right there. She has to sneak food after her mom leaves for work AT TEN PM! I know she isn't lying to me because I know her mom and her sisters have big mouths and tell all of their business. Her mom is pregnant again and due in June. Would you get involved and get CPS involved or is it best to just be the daughters support system? This angers me!!! UPDATE...Long story short, the daughter lied about it all. She admitted to it. She was upset with her mom because she got in trouble for not doing her chores 😒
