Inconclusive urine test and beta test at hospital???

I found out I was pregnant in the middle of March. My fiance and I was excited. We told our family we are expecting. My first and his 3rd. Today at work I was having sharp pains and tighten around the pelvic so we went to the hospital. After in there for 4 hours I was told my urine test was inconclusive and my beta was normal???? I am so confused. I took 5 home tests AND went to planned parenthood 3 weeks after and the test was positive. Any ideas ladies.
