Hubby has temper

My husband is phenomenal. He is so loving and supportive. We've been together for 3 years and any issues we have stem from the same problem. His temper. Last night is a perfect example of his or temper.. We were doing the budget together like every night. I expressed concern over a purchase he wanted to make and he lost his shit. He was telling at me about how he's not an idiot and I don't trust him with our money blah blah blah. But it turned into a 2 hour fight over a simple question. This happens anytime he feels like I'm attacking him or questioning his thought process on anything. I feel as his wife I should be allowed to question anything... No?
