Lube Brands for Painful Sex??

My boyfriend and I just had sex for the first time two days ago and it was difficult to get in and very painful to have in. I continued to feel a sort of painful pressure for about 24 hours afterwards. Once it subsided we tried it again. This time it went in easier but was still very painful. We found a diy lube recipe but I'm not sure if it's condom safe so does anyone have some condom safe lube recipes or brands we could try?? Or any other tips to diminish pain?? Can anyone relate??
