What to do?...

My bf and i have been together for 2 years. We've had a rocky relationship and have broken up. The last break up i moved and to yry and move on. Since the move our relationship has gotten a lot better and had been consisten for almost 8 months now with out breaking up. I asked him the other day if his family knew we were dating and he said no.... I asked him why and he said because they wouldnt care.. Which doesnt make sense because he told them about me when we first dated.... Im wondering if hes just not ready for acommitment  or take this relationship seriously...
