please help me! domestic abuse while pregnant and restraining orders
Okay everybody. I want to start off by saying this is not a cry for attention or a way to look for sympathy. I have a serious question about the court system and how restraining orders work.. 
so my baby's father put his hands on me in February while knowing I was pregnant. (Pictures below) he drug me through a driveway by my hair, choked me, banged my head against my car, busted my lip, and left nasty bruises on my back, arms, neck, and mouth.
I promise you all, with God as my witness, I DID NOT fight back, touch him first, or even touch him at all the whole time he was doing this to me. I've never put my hands on him anytime during our relationship period! 😪
He then threatened me that if I was to call the police or put a restraining order against him, he'd have somebody "take care of me" pregnant or not. So I got scared for the safety of my baby being pregnant and all, and I didn't go to the police.
It's been a little over two months and now he's saying he's gonna fight for rights for my unborn baby and it's done too late for me to do anything with the police and restraining order 😓
Is that true?? And if I was to put a restraining order on him, would it be against the baby too? Could he still fight for rights even with a restraining order against him and the baby?
The way I look at it, he could've easily killed the baby if I was to fall the wrong way, or him jerking and dragging me around that way, or even from me stressing, screaming, and crying.. so he endangered the baby too..
UPDATE:
I went to the police and to the court house yesterday, and charges are being pressed and I have a restraining order against him on both my daughter and I! I go to court next Thursday and will see if he takes it to trial or abides by the restraining order!
