To me choosing to get your child ears pierced is just like choosing to take your child to church. They grow up knowing that's what their parents want for them and knowing that they can change it when they are old enough to make their own decision.

It's the parents choice until they are old enough to make up their own mind about it and quite frankly it shouldn't matter to anyone else what their parenting decisions are. As long as the child isn't getting beat and is getting their basic needs your opinions about children don't mean Jack shit to them. Focus more on your children and less on judging others there will be less bullies in the world. Let's face it if your children grow up with you talking shit about other mothers they will grow up to believe it's ok to talk badly about other children. And that's how bullying begins.
