Tampon not going in?

Question

So, I tried to put a tampon in and it wouldnt work. I tried multiple times but every single time I tried it, it hurt. I read the directions and tips and everything on the price of paper I got in the tampon box but it just won't work. People say you can use tampons at any age but it's not working for me. I really need them because I am constantly paranoid about people seeing my pad outprint since I do dance classes. I have not had sex before so I was thinking that it might be because part of my hymen is still in tact? Can somebody please help me?

the first time is that hardest you just have to find the right angle and what way works for you. the first time it's okay to have a little bit of pain.

Perhaps they are just to dry...your vaginal walls can also be dry and cause friction...
I prefer to use a menstural cup so then i can use a water based lube to help put it in! and menstural cups mean no risk of tss and you know they are steralised because you do it yourself!

What kind of tampons are you using? And are you putting it in far enough? I recommend using a brand with a plastic applicator.. I've never been able to use the cardboard kind. When you put it in the applicator should basically be almost all the way inside you after you press in. I use playtex sport and have never had issues.

I've had this issue before and still get it from time time. I use plastic juniors size or lite days and I'll use some lubrication on it. That's what's helped me. Good luck!
