me and my boyfriend were dating for just over a year and it was amazing but a month ago he randomly broke up with me because he needed to be alone (he's 16 and in the military away from his family he was going through a hard time) just recently we began talking again and we both amittied that was a horrible idea and we still have feelings for each and want to get back together but there's a few questions. is this a good idea or am i just bound to get hurt? my friends hate him because he broke my heart and are convinced he's gonna do it again so what should i do about that? and lastly would we keep out anniversary the same even though we weren't dating for a month?

At the beginning of mine and my fiance's relationship, he broke up with me for reasons I still don't really know, but we kept talking. We had only been dating for 2 1/2-3 months at that point and I wasn't about to let it ruin our friendship. Well, a month later, on his birthday, he had asked me out again. I said yes. Our five year anniversary is at the end of next month and we are getting married next year a week before our six year anniversary. We also kept our original anniversary date instead of "starting over".

Girl, you do you! Don't worry about what other propel think of him. But, be very cautious.. Also, dating someone thats in the military is hard bit it's worth it when he comes home.
