Miscarriage

I'm currently losing our baby and my heart is in tiny itty pieces. I know God has a plan and everything He does is for good so I'm at terms with it. Went for more bloodwork and an ultrasound and dr said I probably won't need a d & c and would LIKE me to wait 2 periods before trying again. Do I really need to wait? There were no complications and it was an early miscarriage. She is checking my levels until they go back to zero. Can anyone tell me if I really need to wait 2 cycles?
