Models should come in as many sizes as clothes do, and as many colors as people do.
Maybe I'm missing the point. I thought models were hired to show the way an outfit will look and drape on an adult human being.
It's great that your models are so cute, really. They remind me of me....you know, when I was 19. I just want to pat them on the head and give them a cookie.
I have children, and I know that all children's outfits aren't modeled by two year olds. I cannot imagine what an outfit would look like on a 12 year old by seeing it on a two year old. Can you?
And that's only a 10 year age difference. But a 10-size difference.
There are 19 years of age between me and this model. The difference between a small and an extra large in your brand is 2" in the pattern cut. I sew, so I know this.
I also know that some dresses, the ones cut for cleavage and hips, look normal on me and silly on her. Just like those huge baggy t-shirts make me look like Shrek while making her look like an adorable nymph in mommy's clothes.
Would it really kill you to have alternate views of clothing on different body types? Just so I, and my friends, can see what this dress looks like on a 10, 14, and 22 as well as on a 00?
I know that it's easier if your adult models can also work children's gigs. It definitely helps models to get full time work. But you have untapped resources.
Plenty of women wear your clothes. Plenty of brands are already putting up #asseenonme tags on social media. You can put those feeds on your website. We have the technology.
