what to do when you HATE your in laws?

I will try to keep this short, but my mother in law and sister in law are like disgusting, horrible people. After we went through our second miscarriage they both were SO disrespectful. Telling us things like they are tired of hearing about these pregnancys that won't last.. we shouldn't tell them unless we know it's a real baby 🙄 ect ect.. not to mention they are both so manipulative and selfish and need the world to revolve around them and everything they say.. I am FED up and want nothing to do with either of them ever again, I also don't feel comfortable having my future children around them. (We are currently due in Dec, but aren't going to tell them, they get to find out when we announce it on Facebook)

Is that wrong for me to not want anything to do with them?
How do you deal with in laws that you absolutely cannot stand?

Just bc you're family doesn't mean you need to be friends. Just accept who they are, don't involve them in your personal business and keep contact brief and casual on family holidays. You can't control how other people act, but you are in full control of how you react. Take the high road.

It's unfortunate that u can't pick your relatives however u do have the choice whether or not to allow toxic people into your life . Family doesn't equal good people all the time. If your husband wants to keep in contact with them, let him visit them alone . He should respect your decision to not want to be by them . I cut out my bfs sister about 8 months ago. And I feel great and less stressed. My daughter sees her on holidays and no more . I tried my best to be nice and she took advantage of it . So I look at it this way. She made her bed and now these are the consequences of it.

It's all about setting boundaries. If they want to act a certain way it's on them, not on you. Best advice? Limit your contact with them. His does your SO feel about it?

Sounds like my monster in laws! Can't stand any of them. They told me I should just adopt and I'll never get pregnant again. Next time I get pregnant I'm not going to tell them until I find out the gender or almost to that time. They won't know the baby or babies since they live states away anyways.

I'm going through something similar. My mother in law and an awful person she's a huge alcoholic and just a bad women. She has ruined my son's first Christmas and now has ruined his first Easter. I hit my breaking point and told her she will no longer have contact with my son he will not know who she is. To spare details she has said countless time since he's been born she doesn't care about him he isn't important and that I'm a whore and so forth.   My son is 9 months old she has held him once and he freaked out he doesn't even like her he won't go to her he holds onto me for dear life he won't smile at her or even make eye contact. That is saying a lot my son is super outgoing full of personality. I have given her back anything she has gotten for my son he doesn't need anything from her. Needless to say she's pissed but idc I've had enough disrespect and enough of her drunken antics. Do what you feel is best for you and your children if you want them to not be apart of their lives then that's what you need to do don't let others tell you otherwise.
