Do my nipples return to normal?!

First time mom here.  23 weeks along. And I have a serious question/concern. Before I got pregnant, my areolas were small and light pink.  They are now fairly big and dark.  Do they go back to what they used to be at some point after baby??

For me they did. I breast fed which kept them looking that way for longer but once I was done they went back to being the original size and color

So, I totally understand why it's weird for your body to change from how you knew it to be, and to come to terms with that, but...

Seriously don't worry about it too much. Your breasts are specifically designed to feed your babies, so they're doing what they were designed to do right now. Even if they never go back to how they were, think of it as your "new normal."

Remember when you were a kid and had no boobs at all?! Probably not very well right? It just becomes a normal part of your life to have boobs at all, so you will grow to not worry about your areolas.

I've had pretty large areolas as long as I've had boobs, and they've gotten wider but it's whatever. I never had the Game of Thrones, hot chick, porn star nipples and I am doing just fine! As a lifelong big areola club member, I don't really see what all the fuss is about. Who cares if they don't go back to normal? Nobody but you and whoever sees your naked breasts will know and nobody (except maybe you for some reason) will be mad at you for it.

This was my big question today. Nothing changed with my boobs with my daughter - not a thing! Then ultimately, my milk never existed. This time, my boobs have yet to stop hurting, my nipples are like PURPLE and huge, and no bra exists that can handle this growth. Excited because this may mean possibly breastfeeding but also concerned they'll never go back!

For the most part, lol. After breastfeeding, they'll go back to their normal color and size.  But they'll still look like a baby has sucked on them, lol. Unless you're formula feeding, then I'd assume they'd go back to normal after pregnancy.

Breastfed for 2 1/2 years with my first and they went down after but not exactly as they were before. Lighter and smaller but not as small; I forgot how big they'd really gotten till this pregnancy..😬🙈😂

I breastfed my two girls for 10 months each and nipples have never gone back to the pink cute nipples they once were!! Ha oh well! My hubby doesn't mind so no biggie

I was just telling my hubs the other day how big they freaking were and how the outside is getting darker. Hope they return to pre-baby status eventually! But I do plan on breast feeding so idk.

Omg yes girl I've had the same problem and it freaked me out! I got my boobs done and the scars on my nipples are poking out and even darker! It's insane! Glad to hear they may go back to normal lol
