Should I be upset, or is this just typical guy behavior?

My boyfriend is visiting his family in another state. I got very sick since he's been away and I went to the doctor. I told him everything that's going on but he just seems to ignore me and talk about his time with his family. He hasn't even asked me how I feel. The only thing he has said was "that sucks". Is this typical guy behavior? I have no problem with him visiting his family but I just feel like he has no concern for me. Meanwhile if he's sick I have to drop everything and practically bottle feed him...

It depends on what kind of person you are. If I was sick and my husband said 'that sucks' I'd be like you're right, and then I'd move on.

Yeah, it really just depends. In my experience guys do tend to be babies when they're sick and then not extend the sympathy when you are 😅.
Also, though, when my guy and I first started dating when he was with his family that was HIS time. Like I would hardly hear from him, and boy if it was during the holidays he'd be damned if he left his family to go anywhere. I had to explain to him that it was fine for now, but as our relationship gets more serious he's going to have to consider sharing his time 😝. So maybe he's just REALLY into being with his family, and you could address it by saying, "Hey, when you're around them would you prefer we text less? I feel like I become much less of a priority and just want to understand."

No thats not typical.. my boyfriend would be like "aww babes i hope you feel better" then he would continue to ask whats wrong, how did i think it happened, lmao and so on. He probably just doesn't know what to say, because there isn't anything he can do about it considering his location. But he could at least seem concerned.

My bf always says "thats sucks"to me whenever i tell him something bad over txt. But in person he is so much more sensitive and caring towards me.

Girl I got sick with a 102 fever and my husband was a total jerk! He was mad at me because we were watching a movie and my sister called so I told him to continue watching the movie. I talked to for about 10-15 minutes and between that time I got the fever and was shivering uncontrollably. I laid on the couch asked for blankets etc and he was just an asshole about it. After he realized that I was really sick he seem to change a little but he didn't  apologize until the next day. Said he felt bad and that he was angry about me not watching the movie with him. 😂 I told I have never treated him like that when he was sick and he is the biggest baby ever 🙄. But anyways I gave it right back to him when he got sick and he hated it. We still love each other but guys are dumb sometimes
