Period on BC

Hi all, I'm currently on birth control. The pill Zovia to be exact. I'm on my third row of active pills, however I've started bleeding. Its way heavier than spotting would be. I dont have cramps or any others symptoms I get for being on my period. My inactive pills are supposed to start Saturday. I've also been bleeding for about a week now. Has anyone else experienced this? Also I been on birth control for over a year, this isn't normal for me
