relationship advice

I've known my bf for over 8 years we always flirted and wanted to be together . So last year we did . I finally settled down with traveling (neither of us wanted. Long distance relationship) 

We talked all day everyday at one point .etc . He works 2days in 2 days off (police officer) and most of the time I barley hear from him but when he's home we're always together or going out. Lately I find myself on the phone and we'll sit in silence with nothing to talk about. And when I bring up a topic he doesn't really seem interested . When he's off he sleeps a lot. I'm not sure if I'm overthinking it and we're fine but I don't feel the same attachment when we're not together . Any advice ??
