Told our daughters yesterday 😊
Yesterday we told our daughters that we were having a baby. My step daughters were instantly excited & happy. My 12 yo daughter was upset at first, but her sisters enthusiasm changed her mind. They now now chatter about how excited they are to be "real" sisters because of the new baby.
I discovered the reason today, why she was upset. He father is getting married next week. She doesn't really like her new stepmother and both her dad & stepmom are very harsh and critical of her. They have been discussing having a baby too. One day they told my daughter that they were going to "train (their) baby to be better than (her)".
What kind of a fucking asshole says that to his daughter? I'm so happy I divorced him 10 years ago. I'm so happy that I met my husband and am able to provide her with a loving family, siblings, fantastic stepfather and show her what love is.
