Do you think it's unfair to place the heavy weight of deciding life or death cases on jury members?
I'm watching a show on netflix called "Life and Death Row" and in the first episode they're all talking about how they're going to have to live with putting someone to death forever if that's what the case boils down to. It got me thinking, is it fair for these individuals to have to decide if another individual dies or not?
They're never going to forget the images from scene pictures and they're never going to be able to get the details of the case out of their heads let alone be able to live with deciding on the death penalty or not. What do you guys think?
Note: I'm not asking if the death penalty should be a thing or not but ultimately should the jury have to decide?
