Experience with depo shot! weight gain? lack of sex drive?

I started to use the depo shot method & today I was reading on the internet that you can gain weight while using it.  Also that you would lack sex drive☹️ kinda scares me! Can you tell me your experiences with the depo, please & thank you.😊

I gained 30 pounds on depo and it wasn't a lack of a sex drive it was a non existent sex drive no matter what my man did I didn't want sex. I didn't have a period for  2 whole years. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I've been on it for almost 4 years & I have gained like 40lbs on it & I literally have absolutely no sex drive at all. Most of the time I do it just so my husband can be satisfied. I hate this shot. I don't have a period whatsoever anymore. Everyone's body is different. Good luck.

I had a great experience with Depo! No weight gain, no loss of sex drive, no periods for almost 4 years. The only reason I came off of it was because I got a tubal ligation.

I was a crazy, raging bitch. 
I spotted for the first 2-3 months non stop brown blood. 
But everyone is different. You'll just have to wait and see.

I got the depo after I had my daughter 6 yrs ago. I gained like 30 lbs in a year from it and literally had no sex drive. I stood on it for two yrs and had to get off because I was getting crazy headaches which is another side affect and on top of that it took 18 months to get my period back. Every one is different though. My body doesn't respond well to any hormonal birth control.

I didn't have weight gain or lack of sex drive while on it! I absolutely loved being on it and loved not having a period or having to remember to take a pill. I was on it for years so I honestly can't remember if I had spotting in the beginning like I've read other girls complain about.. if I wasn't planning to start ttc in the near future I would still happily be on the depo!
