getting rid of the swaddle?

Hello! My baby is 4 months old and is breaking free from lots of different swaddle blankets. I'm so terrified of him getting a blanket around his face while I'm sleeping, so I've decided to just stop swaddling and just put him in the crib without anything but just his Jammies. We keep our home pretty warm for him. Is that a terrible idea? FTM

No your okay or you can swaddle with arms out they also have cute little sleeping sacks if you are concerned baby will get cold

I use a swaddle blanket still myself. I get worried about it too but to be honest it works best if it's below his arms and you can buy a size up to make the sack more comfy at the feet. Mine came out of them and we don't use it that way anymore. It's more so for comfort if he can't stay still and wants to be held all night which is also something we don't do he's in his crib and has gotten use to it. Now he's too big for the sleep swaddles so we stopped using them and just put him in long selves at night with pants and socks or just do a onesie and socks and pants. Works best for us. They say they make sleep sacks with arms in them which with the A/C on with the weather being so up and down we stopped using heat at night. So I'll probably invest in a sleep sack for the cooler nights.

We do a sleep gown over our baby's pjs-- we've never swaddled him because he's always been rolling onto his side & I've been afraid he'll go face-down. He seems to be pretty cozy like that :)
