on a break ??

On Sunday my boyfriend told me he needed a break. How long do you think this will take? Have you been thru this? Can you tell me your experience and how long it took to get him back and get things on track. I haven't contacted him since that day & he blocked me on social media because he's trying so hard not to text me or anything.
