help? I got hurt down there

My boyfriend and I were talking when all of a sudden, he wants to stand up and accidently knees me in between my legs. Im sorry if this is a TMI but it feels like my clitoris had been sore-ish and I wince in discomfort if its touched. I tried to see if everything was okay down there and I noticed that... is that permanent damage? Should I get that checked out? He feels so so bad about it but im worried something could be wrong because it wouldn't feel like that. Could I have damaged any nerves?
