What age is best for your second baby

Curious on at what age should your first baby be before you have your second and it be easier and not be extremely to difficult or hard on the stay at home mom or the relationship of mom and dad

If we decide to go for a second we will start trying after our first is 2. I like the idea of them being 3 years apart so she will be in preschool, out of diapers, and able to communicate and maybe even be helpful.

My five are between 12 and 27 months apart. The hardest transition was from 1 to 2 children. It had nothing to do with the 19 month age gap, but just the move from one child's routine to two children.

My first two were 19 months apart. #2 and #3 were 27 months apart. #3 and #4 were 12 months apart. #4 and #5 were 24 months apart. All of the transitions were relatively easy, and it took just a couple weeks to get into a routine once a new baby came.

My first two are 3 1/2yrs apart. It was great because there was only one in diapers. My 2nd two are 22mos apart and even though they're both still in diapers it's no biggie. But it was nice that the older was a bit more dependent. I wouldn't want them any closer than that.

I honestly don't think there's any perfect age. I have friends who have kids that are 11 months apart and are super happy and ones who have kids 11 months apart and are miserable and the same for kids a year, two years, five etc etc I think it's all what you make of it and your routines schedule comfort level etc. I'm going to just let nature decide .. lol
