kids 🙄

So this week was spirit week because the book fair at my 10 year olds school. 2 weeks ago I received the book fair flyer with books for sale but it never had a date on it and I never saw another thing about it in my sons back pack. He goes down to his dad's parents house on Thursday afternoons until Saturday or Sunday and they like never look in his back pack but every so often they will and I'm thinking that's what happened. My son came in my room this morning looking for "pajamas" bc it was pajama day. First I've heard of it. He yelled at me "it's been spirit week all week and this is the only day I will be able to dress up for!" Well first of all he doesn't even have pajamas. He sleeps in a white tee and his boxers just like my husband (his stepdad) bc he's been slowly but surely wanting to be just like him. He then yells "what happened to my Christmas pajamas?!" I tell him that I'm sorry but his Christmas Jammie's are from 2 YEARS AGO and he's grown 5 inches and 20lbs since then so they've been at the goodwill for a long time. He had a melt down. "I didn't have anything to wear for this week for spirit day because of you!" I said "just about all your laundry is done so if there was something specific you wanted to wear why did you not tell me?" He goes "oh... i didn't think to ask you... you usually have stuff already made for me to wear but this time you didn't." I told him bc I never saw a paper about spirit week and he starts crying bc he just assumed that I just knew what the days would be bc I'm usually on top of his school events. I felt bad but not too bad bc I seriously had no clue. And he waits til Thursday to mention it? Lol so he wore his usually comfy bright blue basketball shorts and a plain t-shirt. He wasn't happy but I can't just whip new PJ's up in 15 minutes no matter how good of a sewer I am lmbo so yeah this morning was fun 🙄 Just had to share lol How's y'all's Thursday going so far? 🙄😂😂
