I want to love the IUD

I'm on my second month with the IUD, I've now been bleeding for 3 weeks straight. The first week I had heavy spotting, the second week was a light flow, and now I have a very heavy period. Everything was great the first month and I though this birth control was gonna be great for me. I'm starting to get sad because I feel like it's not going to work out... I can't do hormonal birth control, I really wanted the copper IUD to work for me. Any similar experiences?
