Am I in deep shit??

Question

So basically I downloaded text now (a texting app) and texted my ex husband calling him a liar and a fraud. I didn't threaten him or anything but my uncle got a call from his dad saying that I'm having other people text him and he's going to the police. Can they find out it was me? It makes me sooo upset that he did so much and got away with it all. I do 1 tiny thing and I'm terrified that I'll be caught

Who cares even if they did trace it back to you. Your just sending texts!!! The police are gunna look at him like his is crazy! They have more important shit then text messages to deal with. You have nothing to worry about!

Regardless, since he's your ex, it's best to let bygones be bygones & stop texting him at all. You made your point. Now stop wasting your time, phone space, & emotional energy on him! Holding onto anger against someone only gives them power over you- it rarely if ever punishes them. I learned that lesson the hard way. Moving on is the best thing you can do- you'll find freedom once you decide to let his own poor decisions catch up to him without you! Have your own life, without worrying about him- it's just not worth the mental anguish.

I'm going to go against everyone else and say yes, the police can look into it. My husband sent his ex wife a voice mail and they ended up charging him with harassing communications domestic violence. It's a crock of shit I know but really depending on where you live. We live in the south with a good ol boy system do half the laws don't apply to half the people. Just be mindful in the future 🙂

Unless it's a life threat, police won't do anything about it. You can text or call him all you want without threatening him. They'll advise him to just block the number.

Calling someone a liar and a fraud is not a crime. It's not harassment and it's not threatening. If you text him that stuff everyday for weeks on end, then the cops could tell you to knock it off. But that's about it.
