lactating already? 17 weeks

Question

I'm 17 weeks and one day. Started lactating at 16 weeks and 5 days (April 28th). Granted I was pushing on my boobs a bit. Trying to massage them in the bath because they hurt so bad. Veins in them have gotten huge! And out comes a slick clear fluid. Only a few drops but it happened again the next day. Haven't pushed on them since because I've been told it can cause uterus contractions (potential early labor).

Please tell me I'm not the only one. I've heard a girl on her third baby starting to lactate at 10 weeks but I'm on my "first" baby (1 prior miscarriage at exactly 7 weeks with really low hormone levels). Most women I hear start lactating colostrum closer to 30 weeks.

I started actively leaking at 17w. Some of us just lactate early.

I finished breastfeeding my first 7 months before getting pregnant again but have never stopped lactating!. We vary hugely person to person. Don't worry about it just leave them alone. Warm flannels if they're really sore.

Mine just started today 17+6 weeks but its normal and its also a sign that ur baby is healthy😊😊

I think women start lactating at around 25-30weeks without stimulation.  I.E. waking up with shirt wet.

Because you were stimulating your breasts and essentially hand expressing...I don't feel like it's abnormal.  However you should ask your doctor to be safe.
