Dear White People...

Eliza
So I remember a few months back when the show was announced that people had a fit and said the show was prejudice against whites and now after watching the show I'm like wow, this accurately depicts both sides of the coin. On one end, we have a group of black students who feel they aren't appreciated and deal with microagressions on the daily for their white classmates. And on the other end, we have white students who want to help with their movement and help them get the word out about what's going on but instead of taking the help they treat them like shit. Even though they are ALL against the douche rich kids who run the school and "neither see nor believe in racism" and the administration that doesn't believe they have a problem even after a black face party was broken up by the cops in one of their dorms.
That was personally my take on the show. It felt like the black kids were so caught up in trying to find racism that they missed their ally. And at the end of the day it was once again us vs them white vs black rather than being equality vs oppression.
